Juicing for a Strong Immune System

Juicing is a great way to cleanse the body from the inside and a great way to keep our organs running properly. Fall is here so it’s time to kick our immune systems into high gear to prepare for winter cold and flu season. “Did you know that 95% of the vitamins and enzymes our bodies need are found in the juice of raw fruits and vegetables? We would need to eat 2 lbs of carrots, 10-12 apples, or 8 lbs of spinach to get the same amount of nutrients you receive in one 16 oz juice. To help you get started, here are some delicious recipes for immune boosting juices.

I recommend doing some research to find the right electric juicer for you. Keep in mind you may need to cut up the fruit so it will fit in the juicer.

Beeting Heart

1 Beet

1 Medium Apple

12 Carrots

2 Oranges (peeled)

1/2 Lemon (not peeled)

 

Immune Booster

6 Oranges (peel)

1.5 Grapefruits (peeled)

6 Leaves of Kale

1 Handful of Mint (about 10 leaves)

 

Cold Crusher

1 Pineapple

6-7 Oranges (peeled)

3-5 Large Apples

1 Lemon

2-3 Leaves of Kale
