Resolutions for the New Year!
The New Year is a time for celebration! With another year down, it is a time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new year to come. Many people create New Years Resolutions for the things they wish to do or change in the coming year. For some these resolutions are helpful guidelines to achieving a goal, for others they can seem like giant tasks looming in the future, and they shouldn’t be.
If you are going to make a resolution, make it a goal that you can obtain. Don’t set yourself up for failure by biting off more than you can chew. Break your goal down to smaller, manigable goals that can be worked on daily. For example, maybe your goal is to start (and stick to) a diet. Start by doing a full body cleanse or detox, getting a gym membership, doing some research for what will be best for you body.
Whatever your resolution may be, just remember: reward yourself for your accomplishments. Don’t always look at what you still have to do, but be proud of what you have accomplished. Also, resolutions take time. You may not see results right away, or you may have trouble sticking to your resolution, but it’s ok. You have all year to accomplish your goal, distractions will happen but it’s never to late to work on your goal.
Happy New Year!
